Accessibility

Somerset Local should be usable by everyone in our community. This page, last revised October 26, 2026, explains what we do and how to tell us when something gets in your way.

What we build in

The site supports keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators and a skip-to-content link, respects your system's reduced-motion setting (the hero video stays still until you press play), keeps text contrast readable, and works with browser zoom. The directory is fully usable as a text list, with the map as an optional extra.

Known limits

We have not completed a formal WCAG or ADA audit, so we do not claim certified compliance. The optional Google map is provided by Google and its accessibility is partly outside our control; the same locations are always available in the text directory.

Tell us about a barrier

If something on this site is hard to use, email info@somersetlocal.org or write to Somerset Local, 19770 Somerset Rd Ste 1, Somerset, TX 78069. Tell us the page and what went wrong, and we will work with you on a fix or an alternative.
